A2 Hosting still has not fixed the Database after their servers failed AGAIN. A2 Hosting is the WORST!
Because of this, new posts are currently missing and I can only HOPE they eventually recover the table they didn't restore after their latest failure.

Flannel Pajamas and Catching Up.

This morning I slept in... all the way to 8am.  Late compared to the 5 to 6am I have been getting up recently.  However, my distress at sleeping late faded quickly away as the clouds filling the sky registered.  So back into my flannel-fuzzy pajamas.

Of course, it isn't a total day of rest.  Dishes, laundry, and pretty much everything else around the house is in great need of some attention.  Also, some online shopping for door hinges, trim plates, and assorted other things needed to complete the shed and jerry-rig sliding door handles.

It also gives me a chance to upload a few pictures of the progress from the last few days.  Mostly on making two non-movable sliding glass door panels into two fully slide-able panels.

This task involved some metal grinding with my little Ryobi grinder and a metal plate to protect the glass, and even cutting down the full length of the base track with a jig-saw... complete with breaking one blade clean off and bending another into oblivion (not to mention shaking my arms apart every few inches).

Gladly enough with the semi-random parts of door frame I had available and some new rollers from the store, I was able to put together a fully functioning frame system.  Though it was questionable at a few points along the way, and the handle situation is still up for grabs since the doors don't have the extra room that sliding panels normally have for handles to drill through.

Next step will be getting this wall fully caught up to the rest with paper and siding.  Then several days worth of trim cutting and painting and the exterior of the shed will be mostly done except for the soffit.

After that I was thinking I would start on the inside, but realized that I had better get the wood-storage box done.  It will go in front of the left sliding glass door and will also need painted before the weather gets into freezing potential.

What about the suction cup bars they put in bathtubs for handles. It won't be the prettiest but should be easy to use. Looking great. You deserve another fabulous vacation after this.

Yeah, I thought about those, but they have a tendency to come loose as things get hot and cold and at the worst moments.  It is currently a back-up idea though if I can’t make something more permanent work.

Another vacation would be awful nice.  However, if I could get the project list all caught up, I think just sleeping in here all winter might even be nicer.  LOL
