I liked the bakers rack, but the boards were a little too cherry color and the finish was pealing on a couple spots.

The belt sander I finally got really came in handy for stripping off the old finish.

The light wood will look much nicer than the cherry finish for our kitchen.

I am running out of room in the dining area. Better finish up some projects before getting many more started, but it makes it easier to varnish a bunch of pieces at once.

After the second coat of varnish is dry, everything is back in place.

The color makes a nice transition from the oak kitchen cupboards to the lighter wood of the fish tank and soji screen cupboards.
