A2 Hosting still has not fixed the Database after their servers failed AGAIN. A2 Hosting is the WORST!
Because of this, new posts are currently missing and I can only HOPE they eventually recover the table they didn't restore after their latest failure.

A Quick Winter Drive

I know it has been a long time since I posted last.  I have done a few little projects around the house, traveled on my first international trip, learned some interesting things about Colombia, and managed to expand my spanish vocabulary by about fifty times from what I knew.  (Which still isn't saying much.)

And while I know I should prepare and finish a half-dozen posts about those things, the fire is warm and my butt is lazy, so this is about all the updating I am up for...

I should have gone to got mail yesterday while there was almost no snow on the ground, but didn’t think about it.  So I started up the Subaru Justy this morning and gave it about 30 seconds to warm up in the 25 degree weather while I brushed off a near-foot of snow from the windshield in one big arm-swoop and headed off to the mail boxes.  Even smashed up from two "totaling" wrecks from last year, the little Justy car still beats all the others for driving in a foot of fresh powdery snow and still scoots right back up the driveway when the other cars would have been spinning out on the powder.  There is definitely something to be said about old Subarus and true 4 wheel drive.

With the mail gathered and plenty of food stock-piled in the house, I can tuckle-down and keep my kitties warm by the fire, drink some hot cider, and color in my coloring books as the snow keeps falling outside.  Hopefully the snow will have a chance to melt off by the time I go to pick up hubby from the airport next Saturday.  And hopefully the weather will be nice for him for the week he is home for Christmas.  But for the mean time, the snow can fall all it wants.  That is just about perfect for me.

And I hope everyone has a great time this Holiday Season!

wow lots of snow. I am getting sissyish. We were in Show Low and they were suppose to get 8 to 12 inches and I decide we should get back down the hill to Globe. Just rain here. Besides we needed to check on Jake, 18 years old and really having trouble getting around. He just doesn't want to give up. Will be looking for pics of Columbia from you. Have a very Merry Christmas and safe new year. Auntie Carol

Thanks!  I am hoping to get the second disk of Alaska videos finished up and sent in mid-January... and hopefully will feel up to jumping into formatting and such with the pics from Colombia after that.  I want to get them all wrapped up because we are planning a big trip in spring... but not sure on the details yet.
