Custom Cat Carrier
After 4 days of planning, calculating, and sewing... I am finally done with my custom cat carrier.  Based on the strictest airline regulations, it will fit right within the requirements of 18x14x8, and even has a storage area for Mowzer's stuff.

Patio Water Feature
Mostly done with my little "water feature" for the patio. Little solar powered fountain with a broken fish decoration and some rocks I gathered from the yard and smashed with a hammer.

Battling the Spring Cold and a few little things.
Uggg.  Was all excited to go sit on my swing and drink my coffee this morning cause it is finally bright and sunny and the wind finally stopped (way too much wind yesterday).  But stepped outside and realized that not only was the sun not shining directly on the swing yet… but it is 35 degrees out there!
For most people winter is the coldest season, but since the sun dips and streams into the windows all the way to the back of the house, for me, it is one of my warmest seasons.  But spring ...

A beautiful day for outside.
While we have had a few very sunny mornings or evenings, the irritating wind has crossed paths with the sun almost every time, making for very few truly perfect days so far this spring.  Of course, here in the mountains, it isn't really spring until mother's day... so I am taking the warm days as they come and trying to make the most out of the ones that are not windy as well.
Today... is... that day.  Perfect sun and only a very light breeze to keep things nice.  The mountain side is alive with the ...

Box of the... um... week.
While I was getting a box done almost every day for a while, I have been trying not to use decongestants after a bout of "rebound congestion".  Yep... it is just about exactly as fun as it sounds.  Unfortunately, this is one of my worst times of the year for allergies, congestion, sinus headaches, and general stuffiness.  So not taking decongestant has me feeling really quite miserable.
Of course, laziness is also a big factor in not getting much done lately... but also ...

Preparing for a huge trip and a "Miracle Shopping Pack"
I know, I know... I have been promising to write a big post about my first trip out of the country to visit Hubby where he is working in Colombia.  But... I don't have time for that right now.  Why?  Because I am preparing for a huge trip to tour Thailand with a stop-over in Beijing, China.
Yep.  And if the planning alone isn't enough to send me into permanent cardiac-arrest, the hidden costs associated with it definitely are.
The trip itself isn't as expensive ...

Quick Bare Phone Pocket / Slip Case
I have finally gotten smart.  Well, at least my phone has.  There was a good deal on Groupon for a refurbished fancy, at least compared to my old style, phone and free service from FreedomPop.  (You can see my review of FreedomPop at the end of this post.)

An Assortment of Projects and Progress
After some sealing and painting of the trim around the doors, I needed a little break... and this is what my "spa" evening looked like.  A bucket full of epsom salt-soak for my feet, some sun-burn gel for my arms, a bowl full of grapes, iced sweet-tea, and some of my favorite TV shows.  It doesn't look like much, but sometimes the little things at home are better than ...

Inside-out Pierogis
So I started a big long post about all the little inconsequential things I have been up to for about the last month, and realized.  Uggg.  Yea, sometimes even I get tired of writing down the silly little things.  If you care, you can read a summary at the end of this post.

Saltwater Aquarium Cleanup
While I would love to say I have accomplished a lot in the few weeks since I posted last, it wouldn't be true.  In fact, my major accomplishment was getting the gutter installation for our roof scheduled for next week and sealing the top edging of the roof with expanding waterproof foam with hubby's help.  But I have not been completely lazy.  Slowly but surely I have been grinding away (sometimes literally) at the algae mess that was our saltwater aquarium.
Work has been long and ...

Old and Grumpy... I mean the Cat.
Sure, for the last couple weeks I have felt like a herd of miniature horses has run me over daily, and the doctor basically said "Who Knows." and tossed some antibiotics my way.  But this post is really not about the grumpy and cough-so-hard-my-head-will-explode human in the house, it is about the old and grumpy cat.  No... not that grumpy cat... my grumpy cat.  The one that ends his "Meow" with an extra "feah" when he is angry with me.
My big old ...

What Craft Fair?
Sadly the question most asked of us on Saturday at the "Deck The Mall" event was "What's this for?  Is there some kind of event going on?"  Evidently the advertising for the event was more than lacking, and a search of online came up with almost no listings and those that were still listed the event being on the 15th.
So while we were excited to have good weather despite fighting some wind in the early morning and evening, and a good spot on a corner, sales were definitely less than ...
