A Grill Dream
Okay… wild imaginings… I know… and no… I have NO idea how I could make it happen… but wouldn’t it be cool?

Okay. I am just about at a loss as to what we are going to plan for the yard, and to have all the giant holes dug for the tiny bushes by planting time, I need to start making decisions and marking the locations soon. ( Yes… it will probably take me a month to dig all the holes big enough. )
We got a mix of bushes that should live up here with the thought that if one type doesn’t make it, at least we have a couple other types that might survive. Like… “Don’t put all your bushes in one basket.” ...

From the Archives: 1/9/2014Well, I am definitely one of the proud, few girls who asks for power tools for Christmas… and for this Christmas I finally asked to upgrade from randomly failing cheapie cordless drills to nice Ryobi One+ tools. It is really more than just drills, because the batteries interchange with dozens and dozens of cordless tools. So it is more of a “System” though I usually scoff at the term being applied to tools. I did a lot of research into what the best drills and tool ...

One Big Concrete Paddy
I was measuring the place I wanted to move the cement paddy to for the grill (up hill, around a corner, and behind a retaining wall… fun, right?), and realized that it is about 1 foot longer than I would really like to put there. So here are my wild imaginings regarding it... • Put it where I wanted anyway and just deal with it being one foot too long. (requiring some ...

180 Gallon Table
From the Archives: 6/29/2013
Our Goldfish "Pond" was only about 10 inches from the floor, and could not be seen very well from the dinner table that was in front of it, so we decided to move it to a taller stand.

The Beginnings of Our Outdoor World
This year will be a big Outdoor year for us. Many of the things we have been putting off in the way of improving our yard and landscaping will be pushed to the top of the list, and hopefully we will make some big progress.

Getting Pretty with Wick Plants
From the Archives: 8/16/2010
I had been looking for some nicer way to wick my herbs and small plants on the island counter. Finally I found some pretty shaped glass vases at the dollar store and used sage colored paint and sponged it onto the vase. The house paint won't stay on the glass vase if it is scrubbed or scraped, but looks like it will stick otherwise.

Wick Plant Growing - Step by Step "How To"
From the Archives: 4/21/2010
I read on PineCam.com forums that some people use wicks to water their plants the perfect amount. I am a notorious over / under water-er, so I though I would give it a try. After looking up several (and quite expensive) methods online, I decided to try my own. PLEASE NOTE: I am not sure how well all ...

All About Me And Mine
Yep. There I am.
No, not the handsome man. The girl in the lacy-poof. And that is probably the most lace and poof I have ever worn.

While I will go back in time to add some previous projects as archives to this blog, this will be the first official entry.
I used to email my pictures and stories to family and friends, and then started this family site and made "albums" to tell those stories.
While a picture is worth a thousand words, I realized while looking at some of my albums, that without some context, those thousand words don't always tell the story... Something was lost when ...
