Full Force Spring Cleaning... or exactly how did I move that by myself?
I don't know if keeping too busy to think is a good way to handle grief, but maybe it is a necessary thing right now.  And finding out that our community "Clean Up" would happen this weekend with a tiny fee of $5 per truck-load of junk instead of the $70-ish at the county dump, and dumpsters right near the mailboxes a mere half-mile away, was a push to action that I could not ignore.
So Thursday I turned this...

He will be missed.
Hamper stopped wanting to drink this afternoon.  I laid on the kitchen floor by his bed petting him and trying to get him to drink whenever he would wake up since then.  He passed away around 8pm.

Spring Cleaning Update and a Quick Drawer
Incredibly annoyed… After having hunted for the herd of SD cards for the cameras for almost a year now, vigorously before both the Colombia trip and the Thailand-China trip, I was re-connecting a computer drive (which requires unpacking the computer’s filtered cabinet and everything on top of it)… and viola!
Yea… in a medium sized, plain white box… there were all the cards.  Enough cards to completely cover both trips… which I ended up having to purchase almost $100 worth of cards to replace instead. ...

How to beat the heat... and some Thailand Pictures
Thailand was H..O..T.  All caps with spacing between each letter, and I am pretty sure bold and italic should be used there.  Not just hot, but the kind of heat that's like a sauna in the sun on the sun kind of hot.  And humid to the point of trying to figure out how a person could be so dehydrated when obviously breathing 90% water.
I thought I was pretty ready for the heat, knowing we were going to Thailand at the peak of the hot season.  But really, is there ...

Not great... but better.
I have been feeling a bit better and think I am almost back to normal after that terrible sinus-goop-whatever issue I picked up on the way home from travels.  However, I know that the continuing allergies are probably a lot due to the staggering amount of dust that my house collects.

Preparing for a huge trip and a "Miracle Shopping Pack"
I know, I know... I have been promising to write a big post about my first trip out of the country to visit Hubby where he is working in Colombia.  But... I don't have time for that right now.  Why?  Because I am preparing for a huge trip to tour Thailand with a stop-over in Beijing, China.
Yep.  And if the planning alone isn't enough to send me into permanent cardiac-arrest, the hidden costs associated with it definitely are.
The trip itself isn't as expensive ...

Wind Warning
Gladly the mountains here are not prone to many of the environmental concerns that other areas need to worry about.  No hurricanes, no earthquakes, very rarely (if ever) tornadoes, and since I am relatively close to the top of the hill on one side of the valley, no worries about flooding.

Cleaning Up My Act and New Fridge Adjustments
Okay… so I finally got my act together and pulled up the plastic in the livingroom (that I put down to keep the carpet clean while I was out of town) and vacuumed.  Then while I was at it, I vacuumed what I could get to in the office, the bedroom, a random portion of the kitchen and dining area, the rug in front of the kitties food… but then had to stop because Hamper clogged up my upholstery attachment too much.  How do I know it was Hamper and not Ten?  Well… because Ten doesn’t like it when I vacuum her with the ...

A Quick Winter Drive
I know it has been a long time since I posted last.  I have done a few little projects around the house, traveled on my first international trip, learned some interesting things about Colombia, and managed to expand my spanish vocabulary by about fifty times from what I knew.  (Which still isn't saying much.)
And while I know I should prepare and finish a half-dozen posts about those things, the fire is warm and my butt is lazy, so this is about all the updating I am up for...
